About The Author

Leslie Lehr is a prize-winning author, screenwriter, and essayist.

Her books include the novel, 66 Laps, winner of the Pirates Alley Faulkner Society Gold Medal, Welcome to Club Mom, the hilarious handbook on new motherhood,The Happy Helpful Grandma Guide - excerpted on FisherPrice.com - and Wendy Bellissimo: Nesting, the design book that was featured on "Oprah."

Leslie's film, "Heartless" a romantic thriller, financed five other films for Santa Monica Pictures, aired on USA TV and has been screening in Europe for over five years.

Wife Goes On, was inspired by her essay, "Welcome to the Club, in the anthology, The Honeymoon's Over. " Her essay "I Hate Everybody" in the controversial anthology Mommy Wars, was lauded on the "Today Show."

Leslie has degrees from The USC School of Cinematic Arts and Antioch University. She is a member of PEN, The Authors Guild, WGA, Women In Film, and The Women's Leadership Council of L.A. She teaches in the Writer's Program at UCLA Extension.

Leslie is currently working on a new novel, exploring the dark and light sides of contemporary women.

She has two daughters and lives in Southern California...as close to the beach as possible.
